Our mission at Colville Pet Refuge is to rescue dogs and place them into suitable homes where they will be lovingly treated. Our other emphasis is to make sure the dogs are spayed or neutered and have current immunizations. By the end of 2005, after being in business for less than two years, we had saved about 700 dogs. CPR is a non-profit organization of unpaid volunteers and exists solely on donations.

How Colville Pet Refuge Operates:

Individuals who would like to adopt a dog should contact Mary at (509)732-4126, or Kathy Schultz at (509) 684-6854 or Diana  at (509)684-1475 or email us through this website. Prospective owners must complete an application form and sign an adoption contract, both of which can be downloaded from this site. All dogs must be spayed or neutered. New owners have to agree to license the pet and treat the dog humanely. If, for any reason, the adoption doesn’t work out, CPR will take the dog back. Any breach of the contract will result in CPR reclaiming the dog.

Our goal, when we have the necessary funding and manpower, is to open our doors to cats and other animals as well. With your help, we can do this. If you care to make a donation, you may use your credit card or PayPal, right from this site.

"If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. That is the principal difference between a dog and a man."

-- Mark Twain
